Production has wrapped on Sean Garrity’s seventh feature, BOREALIS, starring Joey King, Kevin Pollak, Jonas Chernick, Emily Hampshire and Clé Bennet. A road movie from Winnipeg, all the way north to the Hudson Bay, with wacky hijinx along the way!

Money for somebody (not me)! MASA is being distributed by Robert DeNiro’s Tribeca Films, in the USA (where it premiered in the top ten downloads on VOD) and has been sold to 23 other counties, translated into 15 different languages, and there are official remakes slated for France, Lithuania and South Korea. (Update: the Lithuanian remake, entitled Nepatyres, was released theatrically in its home country to become one the most commercially successful films of all time. Trailer is here.

MY AWKWARD SEXUAL ADVENTURE premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, where it was selected as one of the TIFF Top Ten, it won the Public Choice Award at the 2012 Calgary International Film Festival, and the Audience Award at the 2012 Whistler Film Festival, as well as being selected at festivals from Taiwan and Mar Del Plata to Santa Barbara and New York. It was nominated Best Feature Film by the Director’s Guild of Canada, and dominated the Canadian Comedy Award nominations for 2013, getting a nod in almost every category, and netting Best Feature Direction award. Yay MASA!

Wow! We handled our own theatrical release in Canada, and maintained BLOOD PRESSURE in theatres for over four months! It played 27 cinemas, in 23 cities, with a 7-week run in Toronto theatres (3 different screens)! And the reviews (luckily) have been very very kind.

Great year for BLOOD PRESSURE ! One of only six Canadian films selected for the prestigious Busan International Film Festival, where it was singled out as one of Screen International’s 10 Hot Films, BLOOD PRESSURE was also nominated for the coveted Borsos Award at the 2012 Whistler Film Festival, and was an official selection at Beijing, Torino, Sao Paulo and Shanghai.

Production has wrapped on Sean Garrity’s fourth feature MY AWKWARD SEXUAL ADVENTURE, starring Jonas Chernick, Emily Hampshire and Vik Sahay. Shooting in Winnipeg, as the icey fingers of winter slowly wrapped themselves around our necks, was a challenge – but very excited by the footage we got!
